Inspire your students to try new foods this fall with these innovative ideas for ham sandwiches! Students learn how to pair pork – a lean, low-calorie, nutrient-dense source of protein – with fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy to create “full meal” sandwiches that help you feel full and satisfied. There is also a take-home activity with a reminder about the latest guidelines for cooking pork safely, and an easy-to-prepare pork recipe that students and their families are sure to enjoy.
