A Poppin’ Popcorn Festival

For centuries, festivals have inspired communities around the world to come together in celebration. And popcorn, a centuries-old grain that remains one of the most popular snacks today, has played an integral part in creating many festival memories and traditions. This program will introduce your students to the history of popcorn, how it’s grown, nutritional value, and inspire them to make plans for their own “could-be” Poppin’ Popcorn Festival. Then get poppin’ on a Popcorn Pep Club Contest project for your school — $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to schools, with a grand prize of $2,500.
