Choosing Kind

“You can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.” With this powerful message, R.J. Palacio’s award-winning book, Wonder, has captured the hearts of kids and adults in schools and communities across the country, prompting them to “choose kind.” Inspired by Wonder, this language arts program provides thought-provoking activities that reinforce students’ critical-thinking and social-emotional learning skills and inspires them to choose kindness, to be empathetic, and to consider other people’s perspectives. The activities can be used with or without reading the book.
